Stainless steel threaded pipe fittings are widely used in petrochemical, pharmaceutical, food, marine engineering, and municipal water supply and drainage industries due to their excellent corrosion resistance, processing precision, and ease of on-site installation. Threaded pipe fittings require no welding or heating, allowing for rapid assembly and disassembly, making them a commonly used and reliable mechanical connection method in small- and medium-diameter piping systems.
Materials and specifications are fundamental to performance. Common materials include stainless steel such as 304, 316, and 316L. Different grades differ in corrosion resistance and temperature resistance: 316/316L has better pitting corrosion resistance than 304 in chlorine-containing environments and is suitable for marine and chemical media. Standardized thread machining and strict dimensional tolerances ensure sealing fit and interchangeability.

Structural types include straight connectors, reducers, elbows, tees, and joints with sealing rings that directly connect internal and external threads. To improve sealing performance, in addition to commonly used threaded sealing tapes, high-requirement applications can use PTFE gaskets or metal gaskets for reinforcement to prevent media leakage or thread breakage.
Installation and maintenance are equally critical. Threaded connections should be tightened only when the area is clean and free of impurities to prevent foreign objects from causing seal failure. For threaded parts that are frequently disassembled, it is recommended to regularly check for thread wear and seal aging, and replace them promptly. Using the correct torque and support measures during on-site construction can effectively prevent stress concentration in pipelines and loosening of connections, extending the system's service life.
