The welded neck flange (WN flange) can redistribute the stress of the pipe, thereby reducing the pressure accumulated at the bottom of the flange. Compatible with high or low temperature and high pressure pipelines. Especially suitable for pipes or valves with PN greater than 2.5 Mpa.

Two shapes of welding neck flange：
There are two forms (shapes) of welded neck flanges, one with reducing neck as we called reducing weld neck flange; One with a even diameter of typical long neck named as long neck weld flange.

Weld neck flange applications：

Welded neck flanges are mainly used for the connection of medium and high pressure pipelines. Most butt welded flanges and necks are also called nipple flanges.
Therefore, because there are multiple processes, the installation cost, labor cost and auxiliary material cost of the welding flange are high.
