Product usage:Used for construction

Steel angle, also named angle iron, or steel angle bar, is basically manufactured by hot-rolled carbon steel or high strength low alloy steel. It has l-cross shaped section with two legs - equal or unequal and the angle would be 90 degree. Structural steel angles have lots of dimensions to comply with your uses. In addition, bespoke sizes are available.

Steel angles are the most basic type of roll-formed steel. They are formed by bending a single angle in a piece of steel.  Angle steel is ‘l’ shaped; the most common type of steel angles are at a 90 degree angle. The legs of the “l” Can be equal or unequal in length. Steel angles are used for various purposes in a number of industries. Framing is one of the most common uses for steel angles, but steel angles are also used for brackets, trim, reinforcements, and many other uses. The larger the steel angle, the more weight and stress it can bear.

 Steel angles application:

  • Supporting & structural factors - bridges, warehouses, shelves, cable towers, power towers, communication towers, equipment, etc.

  • Everyday life uses - bed frames, chairs, benches, fencing posts, frames for supporting air conditioner, coffee tables and so on

Steel angles european norms (en)

Steel angles can be divided into two main types, equal and unequal. Mild steel angles, also known as angles, angle bars, rolled steel angles (i.e rsa) are widely used in construction, industrial plants, machinery and equipment building, and other uses where structural stability is required by joining steel frames, plates, and other infrastructures.

Equal angle bars, standardized to en 10056-1 (1998) and tolerances to en 10056-2 (1993), have two parallel legs of the same length (size), whereas unequal angles have legs of two different sizes. The typical materials for mild steel angles are:

En 10025 s275

En 10025 s355

Equal steel angles dimensions

The table shows the dimensions of equal steel angles per the european norms (steel angle weight in kilograms per meter and surface area in square meters by meter length). Equal steel angles have legs of the same exact size in mm.
